Phinda Forest Lodge lies within the 21 000-hectares/51 891-acres of Phinda Private Game Reserve, in the Maputaland region of KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa. Phinda neighbours the Greater St Lucia Wetland Park – a World Heritage Site - to the east and is only 30km/19 miles due west of the white-fringed beaches of the Indian Ocean. Twice daily game-drives in open game viewing vehicles, nature walks and excellent birding. Riverboat cruises and canoeing along the Mzinene River.
Optional Phinda Adventures, at additional cost, include breathtaking coastal flights, beach excursions including snorkelling and scuba diving, deep- sea fishing, turtle viewing, horse riding and cultural visits.

  • The 16 air-conditioned glass suites are built on stilts and appear to float between the rare Dry Sand Forest floor and the towering torchwood trees. The suites are situated to ensure absolute privacy and each bathroom features twin hand basins, bath, separate shower and separate w.c. All suites have a personal bar on their private veranda.

    Less than 45 days prior to arrival = 100% of total reservation value


    Incentives, Conference and Leisure groups:

    At confirmation = 10% of total reservation value

    120 days = 50% of total reservation value

    90 Days = 100% of total reservation value


    We reserve the right to apply the following policy for any reduction in the numbers of rooms pertaining to a group booking:

    Groups of 10 rooms or less = Maximum reduction of 1 room permitted without penalty up to 45 days prior to travel

    Groups of 11 rooms or more = Maximum reduction of 2 rooms permitted without penalty up to 45 days prior to travel
